Tailoring Therapy in Post-surgical Patients With Low-risk Endometrial Cancer

Adjusting treatment for patients after surgery for low-risk endometrial cancer.

Phase 2

This study is for patients who have had surgery for low-risk endometrial cancer, a type of cancer that starts in the lining of the womb. After surgery, doctors often use tests on the removed tissue to decide if more treatment like radiation or chemotherapy is needed. This study looks at tailoring (customizing) therapy based on these test results.

  • Study lasts for 3 years with regular follow-up visits.
  • Participants may only need observation or some radiation therapy.
  • Regular scans like CT or MRI will be done for monitoring.

To join, patients must have had a hysterectomy (removal of the womb) and certain types of endometrial cancer confirmed. The study checks if fewer treatments are just as effective by looking at cancer recurrence and patient well-being. Participants must be willing to travel to the study center and complete some questionnaires. It's important for eligible patients to discuss with their doctor if participating is right for them, considering their health and the study requirements.
