Phase 2

This study is designed for adults with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) who are not getting enough relief from their antidepressant therapies (ADT). The study is testing a new drug, ABBV-932, which is added to current treatments. ABBV-932 is called "investigational" because it is still being studied and not yet approved for general use. Participants in this study will either receive ABBV-932 or a placebo, which looks the same but has no active ingredients. There is a 1 in 3 chance of being given the placebo.

The study lasts for 10 weeks: 6 weeks of treatment and 4 weeks of follow-up. During this time, participants will have regular visits to a hospital or clinic where doctors will perform medical tests, blood work, and ask questions to track any side effects or changes in anxiety levels.

  • The study requires regular clinic visits for tests and questionnaires.
  • It involves a 6-week treatment period followed by 4 weeks of follow-up.
  • Participants might experience a higher treatment burden compared to usual care.
