This study is about two blood tests, Haystack and Signatera, used to find out if colorectal cancer (CRC) comes back after surgery. These tests look for minimal residual disease (MRD), which means tiny amounts of cancer that might be left after treatment. Haystack might be better at finding cancer early compared to Signatera. It's important to find cancer early to have a better chance of curing it.
What's involved in the study?
- The study will last up to 5 years, with regular blood tests done after surgery.
- Testing is done before surgery and then frequently during the first 2 years, then every 6 months up to 5 years.
- Participants must agree to give blood samples and allow access to tissue samples.
To join, you must be 18 or older, have stage II-IV CRC, and have had or plan to have surgery to remove the cancer. You also need to agree to frequent blood tests. You can't join if you can't safely give blood samples or have cancer that can't be removed.
