Phase 3

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a disease that makes the large intestine and rectum inflamed and can cause bleeding. This study is about learning how well *Risankizumab*, a medicine for UC, works in children and teenagers.

There are three groups based on age: 6 to 18 years, 2 to 6 years, and 2 to 18 years. The study has three parts:

  1. SS1: Participants will get Risankizumab through an IV (intravenous) for 12 weeks.
  2. SS2: Participants will get Risankizumab via a shot under the skin (subcutaneous) for 52 weeks. This part is double-blind, meaning neither the doctor nor the participant knows the dose.
  3. SS3: Participants will continue with Risankizumab shots for 208 weeks based on their response in SS2.

Participants will have regular hospital visits. The study will last about 3 years and 8 months, with follow-ups for about 140 days. Doctors will check how the treatment works with tests and questionnaires. This study may require more time and effort than regular care.

  • Study involves regular hospital visits over several years.
  • Higher treatment burden compared to standard care.
  • Potential side effects will be monitored closely.
