Phase N/A

Many people who have a stroke need to be quickly moved from one hospital to another for special treatment. This study, called "HI-SPEED," aims to help hospitals improve how fast they evaluate stroke patients and decide if they need to be transferred. The goal is to reduce the time it takes to decide and move patients, known as "Door-In-Door-Out" (DIDO) time. This will help patients get the care they need faster and may reduce disabilities caused by strokes.

In the study, researchers will test new methods in eight different hospital systems across the United States. They want to see if these methods can reduce the time it takes to transfer stroke patients and improve their outcomes. Only adults 18 or older with specific types of strokes can join. Those with minor strokes, under 18, or with certain other conditions cannot participate.

  • Length of Study: This study will be conducted in multiple regions across the US.
  • Eligibility: Open to adults 18+ with specific stroke diagnoses.
  • Potential Benefits: Faster treatment may reduce stroke-related disabilities.
