Phase 2

MAR001 is a new treatment being tested to see if it can help lower triglycerides (TG) and remnant cholesterol (RC), which are fats in the blood that can lead to heart problems. This study compares MAR001 to a placebo, which is a pill with no medicine, to see how well it works. The study has two parts, A and B, and will last up to 44 weeks. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive MAR001 or a placebo every 4 weeks. Part A includes 216 people with TG levels between 150 and 880 mg/dL, while Part B includes 100 people with TG levels between 450 and 2000 mg/dL. Each participant will have a screening period, a 24-week treatment period, and a 12-week follow-up.

  • Study includes several visits over up to 44 weeks.
  • Participants may receive a placebo instead of MAR001.
  • Participants must have stable diet and medication before joining.

People with certain health conditions, like liver disease or uncontrolled thyroid problems, cannot join the study. Participants must be willing to follow all study instructions and provide informed consent.
