Phase 1

This study is testing a shot (injection) form of a medicine called KarXT for people with schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental health condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, and acts. The study looks at how safe the medicine is and how people's bodies process it (this is called pharmacokinetics or PK).

Key Points for Participants:

  • The study involves stopping current antipsychotic medications before starting.
  • Participants must attend multiple visits to check health and responses.
  • Some risks may include side effects or reactions to stopping other medications.

To join, you need to have schizophrenia, a certain body weight range, and be able to stop other medications. You can't join if you're newly diagnosed, have other mental disorders, have used alcohol or drugs recently, or are pregnant. The study will check your safety throughout. Always talk to your doctor before joining any study.
