Phase 4

Study Purpose: This study checks how well a medicine called valbenazine works for adults with Tardive Dyskinesia (TD). TD is a condition causing involuntary muscle movements. Participants may still have TD symptoms while using or after stopping a VMAT2 inhibitor, which is a type of medication meant to help with these movements.

Eligibility: You can join if you are 18 or older and have been diagnosed with certain mental health conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depressive disorder, along with mild TD for at least 3 months. You cannot join if you have conditions like Parkinsonism or certain heart problems.

  • Participants must be seen by the clinician for several visits during the study.
  • There may be risks, like side effects from the medication.
  • Participation could help improve your TD symptoms and contribute to medical knowledge.

This study helps understand how valbenazine works in people who still experience TD symptoms despite treatment. If you want to join, make sure you fit the criteria and understand the potential benefits and risks.
