Resource Intervention to Support Equity (RISE) is a study to help low-income families with children who have high-risk neuroblastoma, a type of cancer. Neuroblastoma affects young children and involves nerve cells. This study aims to see if a special program called Pediatric RISE, added to the usual care, can improve outcomes for both parents and children.
Participants will be randomly placed into one of two groups: one group will receive the usual care, and the other group will receive the usual care plus Pediatric RISE. Randomly means by chance, like flipping a coin. The study will last about 6 months, and participants will have either in-person or virtual appointments and complete surveys.
- Length: The study lasts for about 6 months.
- Visits: Includes in-person or virtual appointments and surveys.
- Participants: About 84 children from families with low income.
To join, children must be newly diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, and their families must meet certain income guidelines. The study is conducted in several U.S. states.
