This study is testing a new medicine called AZD0292 for people 12 years and older with a lung disease called bronchiectasis who have a type of bacteria called chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PsA). Bronchiectasis is a condition where the airways in the lungs become widened and damaged, leading to breathing problems. AZD0292 is a special type of medicine called a monoclonal antibody (mAb) that aims to reduce lung flare-ups. The study compares two doses of AZD0292 given through an intravenous (IV) line against a placebo, which is a substance with no medicine in it. The study will explore if AZD0292 can help people with and without cystic fibrosis (CF), a genetic disorder that affects the lungs.
- The study will include participants who have had lung flare-ups needing antibiotics in the last year.
- Participants need to be free from lung flare-ups for four weeks before joining the study.
- Participants cannot have had certain treatments or conditions, like recent cancer or severe allergies to mAbs, to join.
