Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a severe mental health condition causing persistent sadness and loss of interest. This study aims to test a new medicine, NBI-1065845, to see if it helps people with MDD feel better when used alongside their current antidepressants. A placebo is a harmless pill used to compare effects.

The study involves taking part in regular visits and following specific rules. Participants must have been taking their current antidepressants for at least 8 weeks and must have a moderate to severe level of depression. Their current depression treatment should not have worked well enough.

  • The study lasts several weeks, and participants need to keep taking their current antidepressants.
  • Regular visits to the research center are required for check-ups and tests.
  • Participants must not have other primary psychiatric disorders or be at risk of self-harm.

This study is for those who haven't fully responded to their current depression medication. It is important to discuss with a doctor to see if participating is right for you.
