Phase N/A

The study aims to see if playing online games can help reduce loneliness and boost social connections for people with MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment). MCI is when someone has more memory or thinking problems than normal for their age, but not as severe as dementia. Participants will play games like Connect 4 and Uno online three times a week for 12 weeks. Each game session is at least 15 minutes long. There are two groups: one starts playing games right away, and the other waits 12 weeks before starting. Participants will also have weekly calls to check on their social activities and complete surveys to measure feelings of loneliness and social connection.

  • The study lasts 12 weeks, with three game sessions per week, each lasting at least 15 minutes.
  • Participants will receive weekly calls for support and to talk about their social activities.
  • Participants must be between 50-85 years old, speak English, and be able to see and hear the computer screen.
