Phase 3

This study is testing a new treatment for a type of cancer called head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), which grows in areas like the mouth and throat. The study compares a new drug, **amivantamab**, added to standard treatments, with using the standard treatments alone. **Amivantamab** is an experimental medicine that aims to help stop cancer cells from growing.

Participants need to be at least 18 years old and must not have had previous treatments for their cancer in this setting. The study includes standard medicines like **pembrolizumab** and **carboplatin**, as well as options like **5-fluorouracil (5-FU)** and **cisplatin**, which are common cancer treatments. Participants must have a specific type of HNSCC and should not have certain health issues, like brain problems or severe heart disease.

  • The study includes several visits over time to monitor your health and the effects of the treatment.
  • Participants may receive compensation for taking part in the study.
  • It's important to discuss any allergies or health conditions with the study team before participating.
