This study is about a germ called C. Difficile that can cause tummy problems. Doctors give medicine, called antibiotics, to treat it. The study wants to see if the tummy problems come back after treatment and if certain toxins, or poisons, from the germ can predict this.
People in the study will:
- Get the usual medicine for C. Difficile.
- Visit the doctor 4 times over about 9 weeks or talk to them on the phone.
First, you need to have had C. Difficile before and be healthy otherwise. If you join, the study will check if the germ comes back in 8 weeks. They will also check the toxins in your poop at different times. You can join if you're 18 or older and have had C. Difficile. You can’t join if you plan to get certain treatments, are pregnant, or have other health problems.
- Study length: Around 9 weeks with 4 visits.
- Eligibility: Adults 18+ with past C. Difficile.
- Exclusions: No other treatments or health issues.
