Study Purpose: This study looks at balance in people with Parkinson's Disease (PD). We want to know what parts of balance are linked to falls so that doctors can help people stay steady.
Details: We're exploring how thinking skills and brain changes might predict falls in PD. An MRI, which is a picture of the brain, may be used to see these changes.
What Participants Will Do:
- Visit our lab at ASU Tempe two times to check balance, walking, and thinking skills.
- Answer short questions every two weeks for a year to tell us about any balance problems.
- Optionally, visit Barrow Neurological Institute for a brain scan (MRI).
Key Points to Consider:
- The study lasts for 1 year with two main lab visits.
- Participants must be 18-90 years old and have Parkinson's Disease.
- There is an optional brain scan visit.
Eligibility: You should be able to read and understand English and must not have other neurological conditions or injuries affecting balance.
