A Research Study on How Well Cagrilintide and CagriSema Work in Children and Adolescents With Excess Body Weight

Study on Cagrilintide and CagriSema for young individuals with obesity.

Recruiting
8-18 years
All
Phase 3

This study is testing how well two new drugs, CagriSema and cagrilintide, help kids and teens with extra weight lose weight. It compares these drugs with semaglutide, which is already used by doctors, and a placebo, which looks like the drug but has no active ingredients. The study is split into two parts: the main study and an extension study. The main study lasts about 1 year and 6 months, and if you join the extension, it lasts a total of about 4 years and 10 months. The drugs might cause side effects.

  • Participants must be aged 8 to under 18 and have a high Body Mass Index (BMI).
  • Participants should have tried losing weight through diet and exercise for at least 3 months before.
  • Participants with certain medical conditions or who have used weight loss drugs recently are not eligible.

Participants can expect to follow the study rules and attend regular check-ups. If interested, parents or guardians give consent and kids give their agreement to join.
