This study is looking at a new drug called [177Lu]Lu-DOTATATE for treating brain tumors called meningiomas that have returned after earlier treatments. Meningiomas are tumors that grow in the brain's protective layers. [177Lu]Lu-DOTATATE is a type of treatment called a radiopharmaceutical, which uses radioactive materials to target and kill cancer cells. The study will compare this new treatment with the usual care given by doctors.
Participants must be 18 years or older and have a meningioma that has grown despite previous surgeries and radiation. They will be randomly assigned to receive either the new drug or regular treatment. If the tumor grows during the study, participants can switch to the new drug.
- The study involves regular brain scans to check the tumor's status.
- Patients must agree not to have surgery or radiation therapy during the study period.
- Study participants may need to travel for the study visits, but they will receive the [177Lu]Lu-DOTATATE treatment.
