Phase 2

This study aims to help young Hispanic or Latino/Latina cancer survivors improve their physical fitness through a home-based exercise program. After cancer treatment, some young survivors may face issues like weight gain, tiredness, and less fitness. Regular exercise can help with these problems by keeping weight, energy, and health on track.

The study will have two stages. In the first stage, participants wear a Fitbit activity tracker, set goals, and receive support through text messages and social media. In the second stage, participants are divided into two groups. One group will follow an intensive program with weekly goals, social media support, and Zoom meetings for 12 weeks. The other group will only use a Fitbit for 12 weeks.

To join, participants should be 15-20 years old, have finished cancer treatment in the last 3-36 months, and not meet current activity guidelines.

  • Study Duration: 12 weeks of active participation
  • Visits and Participation: Weekly goal-setting and online meetings
  • Eligibility: 15-20 years old, cancer survivor, Hispanic or Latino/Latina
