Phase 2

Bipolar disorder is a condition that causes extreme mood changes. This study tests a new drug, ABBV-932, to see if it is safe and works well for treating depression in adults with bipolar I or II disorder. Participants will take ABBV-932 capsules for 26 weeks and then have a 30-day follow-up period to ensure safety. During the study, participants will visit a hospital or clinic regularly for checkups, blood tests, and to answer questions about their health.

  • Participants will be in the study for about 7 months, including the follow-up period.
  • Regular hospital or clinic visits are needed for monitoring.
  • There may be more effort required than usual care, as additional tests and questionnaires are involved.

To join, you must be between 18 and 40 on the Body Mass Index (BMI) scale, have bipolar I or II disorder, and currently be in a depressive episode. You should not have severe health problems or certain mental health conditions, and you must not be allergic to the study drug. Always talk to your doctor before joining a study to ensure it's safe and suitable for you.
