Phase 2

This study is looking at a new medicine called povorcitinib to see if it is safe and works well for teenagers with a skin condition called hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). HS is a skin disease that causes lumps under the skin. Pharmacokinetics means studying how the body absorbs and breaks down the medicine. The study will last for 54 weeks, which is a little over a year, and participants will take povorcitinib during this time.

  • Participants must be aged 12 to less than 18 years, weigh at least 30 kg, and have HS with at least 5 lumps.
  • Participants cannot join if they have more than 20 fistulas, or if they are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Participants need to agree to use contraception and follow all study rules.

Before joining, make sure you understand the time commitment and requirements. This study could help find a new treatment for HS, but make sure to talk to your doctor to see if it's right for you.
