This study looks at how well two treatments, percutaneous ablation and palliative radiation therapy (RT), help people with painful cancer spread to the bones, called bone metastases. Percutaneous ablation is when doctors use needles to destroy tumors, and palliative RT uses radiation to ease pain. The study will track changes in pain and other health events for a year.
- You must be 21 or older and have signed a consent form to join.
- The study lasts up to 12 months and involves follow-up surveys.
- You should not have had radiation or ablation on the target area before.
If you have a painful bone metastasis and meet the criteria, you might be eligible. However, if you have certain medical conditions, your doctor might decide this study isn't safe for you.
