A Prospective, Randomized, Single-blind, Controlled, Multi-center Study to Assess the Safety and Performance of MagnetOsTM Compared to Autogenous Bone Graft in Patients Undergoing Hindfoot or Ankle Fusions.

We’re studying bone grafts for ankle or foot fusion surgery.

Phase N/A

This study is testing how safe and effective a new bone graft product called MagnetOs is for people needing foot or ankle surgery. A bone graft is when doctors use extra bone material to help bones heal better. MagnetOs is a man-made (synthetic) option used instead of taking bone from your own body (autograft).

About 126 patients will join this study and be put into two groups. One group will get MagnetOs, and the other will get an autograft. After surgery, doctors will use X-rays and CT-scans to see how well the bones are healing. Patients will have check-ups at different times over a year, including after 2, 6, 12, 24, and 52 weeks.

  • Study lasts for about one year with several follow-up visits.
  • No new surgeries should be needed in the first year after joining.
  • Patients must be able to attend all check-ups and tests.

To join, you need to be 18 to 75 years old and able to walk. If you have certain health issues, like infections or certain bone problems, you may not qualify.
