This study is looking into two treatments for anemia, a condition where you don't have enough healthy red blood cells. It's for adults with a type of blood condition called myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), which puts them at low risk. The study will test two medicines, elritercept and epoetin alfa, to see which one helps reduce the need for regular blood transfusions. A blood transfusion is when you get blood from someone else because your body isn't making enough. The study also wants to know if elritercept helps with tiredness and improves quality of life.
- Participants must be 18 or older and require regular blood transfusions.
- This study involves comparing two medicines and checking their safety.
- Participants cannot have certain medical conditions or histories, like other kinds of anemia or recent heart problems.
