Phase 2

This study is about learning how safe a new type of flu vaccine is for adults and how well it works. The vaccine is called an mRNA-based vaccine. mRNA is a special molecule that tells cells how to make proteins. In vaccines, mRNA helps teach your body to fight off the flu virus. Participants will receive just one dose of either the new vaccine or an already-approved flu vaccine, which will help researchers compare results.

People who join the study will be involved for about 6 months and will need to visit the study site at least 3 times. During these visits, they’ll take a blood sample each time and a nose swab at the first visit. To join, you must be healthy, 18 years or older, and meet other health requirements.

  • Study lasts about 6 months with 3 visits.
  • Participants get one vaccine dose in the arm.
  • Eligibility requires no recent flu or flu treatments.
