Sporadic Degenerative Ataxia is a condition where adults experience unsteady movements, often without a clear family history. This study focuses on two types: Multiple System Atrophy of Cerebellar type (MSA-C) and Sporadic Adult Onset Ataxia of Unknown Cause (SAOA). MSA-C is marked by severe problems with body functions, like blood pressure changes or bladder issues, while SAOA does not have these severe symptoms. The study aims to understand how these conditions progress over time and what factors might predict their development. Participation involves giving blood samples for future research.
- Study Duration: Long-term observation is required.
- Eligibility: Adults over 40 with unsteady movements and no family history of similar disorders, among other criteria.
- Risks: Minimal, primarily related to blood sample collection.
