This study looks at how deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson's disease might be improved using local field potential (LFP) recordings. DBS is a treatment where tiny electrical signals are sent to the brain to help control movement problems. LFPs are brain waves that can be measured to see how the brain is working. The study asks if choosing where to place DBS based on LFPs is better than the usual way. This involves no new treatments, just extra recordings during regular hospital visits.
- Participants get LFP recordings during normal hospital visits.
- The study is observational, meaning no extra treatments are given.
- Participants must be 18 or older and understand Dutch or French.
