Phase N/A

This study is about exergaming, which is like playing video games that involve physical exercise, for people with major neurocognitive disorders (MNCD). MNCD includes diseases like Alzheimer's. The goal is to see if these games can help improve walking speed, thinking, mood, and quality of life for people living in long-term care homes.

Participants will play an active dance video game for 12 weeks, 3 times a week, for 15 minutes each session. Researchers will check different health measures before and after the study to see if there's any improvement. Some people will continue with their usual care as a comparison.

  • This study lasts for 12 weeks with three short gaming sessions per week.
  • Participants should be living in long-term care facilities.
  • There may be health assessments involved, but no medication risks.

Participants need to have a certain score on a mental test and should not have severe heart problems or plans to move soon. This study offers a chance to enjoy some fun activities while helping researchers learn more about how to support people with memory-related conditions.
