Chinese PD-SNCA Registry Study

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a brain disorder that affects movement. The study aims to make a database of people in China who have PD with changes in the a-synuclein (SNCA) gene. A gene is a part of DNA, and SNCA is linked to Parkinson's.

Researchers will look at blood samples to find SNCA gene changes. They will also check how PD affects people using different tests, like the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) for movement and the Non-Motor Symptoms Scale (NMSS) for other symptoms.

To join, you must have PD diagnosed by certain criteria and have SNCA gene changes.

  • The study involves taking a blood sample and several tests to measure symptoms.
  • Participation may help understand PD better, but there's no direct benefit to you.
  • This study does not mention monetary compensation or specific risks.
