Phase N/A

This study is about helping people with Parkinson's Disease (PD) and their caregivers feel better by learning **empathy** (understanding others' feelings) and **self-compassion** (being kind to oneself). The study lasts for 6 weeks, where participants will practice mindfulness, write, and do poetry exercises to improve feelings and behaviors. The goal is to see if these activities can improve the quality of life for both patients and their caregivers.

To join, patients need to have PD, be in the early stages (Hoehn and Yahr scale stage ≤ 3), and score well on a memory test (Mini Mental State Examination score ≥ 26). Caregivers must care for the patient regularly and meet similar education requirements.

  • The study includes 6 weeks of empathy and compassion training.
  • Participants will fill out questionnaires before and after the training.
  • It's important to make sure you can commit to the study's schedule and requirements.
