This study looks at ways to improve how deep brain stimulation (DBS) works for people with Parkinson's disease. DBS is a treatment that uses a small device to send electrical signals to the brain to help control symptoms. However, finding the best settings for this device can be difficult and takes time. This research uses a combination of patient feedback and special brain signals measured by the DBS device to find the best settings for each person. A total of 24 patients will take part in the study, which involves several visits and tests at DBS centers in Germany.
Key Points:
- The study lasts for several sessions and involves both new and past patient data.
- Participants will have clinical assessments and brain tests using the DBS device.
- There is a focus on making DBS therapy more personalized and effective for each patient.
