PUMCH Dementia Longitudinal Cohort Study is a hospital-based research project focused on older Chinese people with memory and thinking problems, known as cognitive impairment. Dementia is a condition that makes it hard for people to remember things, think clearly, or even take care of themselves. In China, this problem is growing, affecting many areas like healthcare and the economy.

The study aims to learn more about how dementia develops and what can be done to prevent it. Researchers will look at things like lifestyle, stress, and other risk factors. They will collect information through tests, samples like blood and saliva, and even brain tissue if a participant passes away. This information can help doctors better diagnose and treat dementia.

  • Participants will be checked every 6 months.
  • The study includes tests and sample collections.
  • Interested participants must have a fixed caregiver.

Note: Participants should not have other severe conditions that might affect their ability to take part in the study. They should also be expected to live for more than two years.
