Study Purpose: This study aims to see if using a Segway can help people with Parkinson's Disease (PD) improve their balance and thinking skills. The Segway will be used for special training that helps the brain and body work together better.

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a condition that affects movement and balance. In this study, a Segway - a two-wheeled, self-balancing vehicle - will help people practice standing and walking while giving them extra information about their position and space around them. Scientists will check how well people balance, walk, and how their brains work before and after the training.

  • Participants will attend a 1-week training session and need to be available for testing 1-week before and after.
  • Eligible participants should be 50-85 years old and able to stand and walk for 5 minutes.
  • People with other major illnesses or disorders that affect movement or senses can't join.

This study will help us understand if this type of training can be a safe and effective way to improve life for people with PD.
