Phase 1/2

This study is testing a new oral drug called **EC5026** to see if it's safe and effective for adults with **Parkinson's Disease** (PD). **Parkinson's Disease** is a condition that affects the brain and causes shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with walking. The drug works by stopping a specific enzyme that could help reduce inflammation in the brain. Participants will take the drug or a **placebo** (a look-alike pill with no medicine) every day for 28 days. Researchers will check how the drug works, its safety, and if it helps with PD symptoms by examining blood and spinal fluid.

  • This study lasts for 28 days and requires frequent clinic visits.
  • Participants will receive either the drug or a placebo.
  • Eligibility requires stable health and no recent use of certain medications.
