Parkinson's disease is a condition that affects movement and balance. Many people with Parkinson's experience balance issues, which can lead to falls and affect their quality of life. This study aims to improve balance in people with Parkinson's through a special exercise program called exergaming. Exergaming combines exercise with video game-like activities to make it more engaging. Participants will be divided into two groups: one group will receive real feedback about their brain activity during exercise, and the other group will get a placebo (sham) feedback.
The study will last 12 weeks, with sessions 3 times a week, each lasting 30 minutes. Participants will attend 30 sessions over three months. Researchers will assess balance before and after the program to see if there are improvements.
- Study length: 12 weeks with 30 sessions in total.
- Participants will be divided into two groups for different feedback methods.
- Balance assessments will be conducted before and after the program.
Participants must be able to walk unaided and have experienced falls or gait freezing. Those with severe impairments, certain medical conditions, or using specific medications may not be eligible.
