This study looks at how exercise impacts inflammation in older adults and people with Parkinson's Disease (PD). In PD, the brain cells die due to a problem called neuroinflammation, which is linked to inflammation in the body. Exercise might help slow down this cell death, acting as a form of neuroprotection to protect brain cells. This research could help understand how exercise reduces inflammation and improves symptoms in PD, making it an important therapy.
Parkinson's is a brain disease that makes movement difficult. It can progress over time, causing more symptoms. Exercise may help by reducing inflammation and protecting brain cells. The study will check if exercise changes the levels of certain chemicals in the body that cause inflammation and damage. These chemicals include cytokines, antioxidant enzymes, and neurotrophins, which may protect and repair brain cells.
- Participation includes 30 minutes of aerobic exercise at different intensities.
- Participants must be 30-85 years old and able to exercise with short breaks.
- Excludes those with severe health issues that prevent safe exercise.
