Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) is a serious brain disease that worsens quickly and affects movement and automatic body functions. Dysphagia is a problem with swallowing and can lead to serious illnesses like pneumonia for people with MSA. This study aims to see how well a special swallowing therapy, called Comprehensive Swallowing Rehabilitation, works for people with MSA. This therapy includes muscle training, special swallowing techniques, and certain touch and temperature exercises to help swallowing.
- The study is for adults over 19 who have been diagnosed with MSA and swallowing problems.
- If you have other health issues that affect swallowing or thinking, you might not be able to join.
- The study will involve detailed swallowing tests, so consider your comfort with medical evaluations.
