Phase N/A

This study looks at how helpful and safe **acupuncture** (using thin needles to stimulate certain points on the body) and **moxibustion** (burning herbs near the skin) are for people with early **Parkinson's Disease (PD)**, which is a disorder that affects movement. The study checks for changes in **UPDRS scores**, which measure PD symptoms. It also uses **functional MRI** (a type of brain scan) to see how acupuncture might work in the brain.

  • Participants need to visit the study center for testing and treatment sessions.
  • The study is for people aged 30-80 with mild to moderate PD.
  • You’ll need to agree to participate and follow study rules.

People cannot join if they have other serious health issues, are pregnant, or have had certain surgeries or treatments before. The study aims to find new ways to treat PD, so it’s important to follow all the guidelines for safe and accurate results.
