Phase N/A

This study is about learning how using a cane helps people with Parkinson's Disease (PD) walk better. Parkinson's Disease is a brain disorder that affects movement, making it hard to walk. A cane is a stick that helps you walk by giving support. The study will check how the cane changes walking speed, confidence, and safety.

26 people with PD will be part of the study. They must be 40 years or older and able to walk with a cane. They will be divided into two groups. One group will get cane training and the other will do stretching exercises. Both groups will meet for 4 sessions of 40 minutes each over 15-22 days.

Assessments will happen at the start, after 3 weeks, and again 8 weeks later. The study will track any problems, like pain or falls.

  • Participants must attend 4 sessions over a 3-week period.
  • Cane training or stretching exercises will be given, with daily practice.
  • The study will monitor for any unexpected problems during the sessions.
