This study is for people aged 45-70 with early stage Parkinson's disease (PD). Parkinson's is a disease that affects movement and can make daily tasks harder. The study compares two ways to help: an online self-management program and an on-site task-related training. The online program is done at home with an occupational therapist's guidance, while the on-site training involves exercises to improve balance and hand function.
Participants will be in one of three groups: a control group with no treatment, an online program group, or an on-site training group. Each treatment group will have sessions twice a week, lasting one hour each, for a total of 12 sessions. Researchers will check progress before, after, and six months post-intervention to see how well each method works.
- Study Length: Participants will attend 12 sessions over six weeks.
- Eligibility: Must be aged 45-70, have mild Parkinson's, and no recent therapies or certain health issues.
- Compensation: No specific compensation mentioned, but participants help advance Parkinson's treatment research.
