Phase N/A

Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) is a rare brain disorder that affects movement, balance, and several body functions. This study aims to help people with MSA and their caregivers feel better by providing a personalized treatment plan. This plan includes medical care and therapies like physiotherapy, speech therapy, and emotional support. Patients will also have monthly online doctor visits, called telemedicine, and support from a palliative care team, which helps ease symptoms of serious illnesses.

Key Points:

  • The study lasts for 18 months and requires visits at 6, 12, and 18 months.
  • Monthly telemedicine visits are provided to some patients.
  • There is no payment for participation, but the study aims to improve quality of life.

Caregivers of MSA patients can also join the study to discuss their experiences and receive support. Participants must be 30 years or older, speak German, and agree to follow study rules. The study hopes to find better ways to care for people with MSA and their caregivers.
