Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder causing movement issues, like Freezing of Gait (FoG), where people suddenly can't walk. Usual medicine doesn't help much with FoG, so researchers are testing a new device called Cue2Walk. This device detects when someone freezes and gives cues, like sounds or vibrations, to help them walk again.
The study lasts about 32 weeks. For the first 24 weeks, some people will use the Cue2Walk device, while others will wait. After that, everyone will use the Cue2Walk for 8 weeks. The study checks how well the device works and if it's worth the cost.
- Participate for 32 weeks, with device use for 8-24 weeks.
- Must have Parkinson's disease and experience FoG.
- Cannot join if already using similar devices or in other studies.
Participants must be able to walk for 5 minutes without help and have stable medical conditions. It's important not to have memory problems or use similar devices before.
