Phase N/A

Camptocormia is when a person's back bends abnormally forward, but it straightens when they lie down. It often causes back pain and is seen in Parkinson's Disease (PD) patients. This study is checking if Electrical Spinal Cord Stimulation (ESS) can help PD patients with painful camptocormia. ESS uses a device to send small electrical pulses to the spinal cord, which might help with pain and improve posture.

In this study, doctors want to see if ESS can help people who haven't found relief from other treatments like medicine or surgery. Past cases show ESS helped some patients with pain and walking.

  • Participants must have PD and camptocormia for less than 2 years.
  • Must have stable treatment for 4 weeks and be adults.
  • People with severe health issues or who can't have surgery aren't eligible.

Participants will need to commit to the study and follow instructions. They should consider the risks and benefits before joining. This study offers a chance to try a new way to manage camptocormia pain.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?

Compensation varies per trial. Some offer payment or reimbursement for time and travel, while others may not.

How safe are clinical trials?
