Phase N/A

This study aims to create an Italian version of the Gastrointestinal Dysfunction Scale for Parkinson's Disease (GIDS-PD). The scale helps check stomach and bowel problems in people with Parkinson's disease, a brain disorder that affects movement. The study will happen in three phases. Phase I includes translating the scale from English to Italian and back to English to make sure the meaning stays the same. Phase II involves testing with about 10 Italian-speaking Parkinson's patients and 10 health experts to see if the scale works well. In Phase III, the final version will be given to many Italian patients to check its quality, how well it is accepted, and if it is reliable.

  • The study is expected to take place across multiple Italian centers.
  • Participants must be native Italian speakers or understand Italian well.
  • People with severe mental or physical issues or other types of Parkinsonism are not eligible.
