Phase 1

This study tests a new medicine called SER-252 for Parkinson's Disease (PD) with motor fluctuations. PD is a brain disorder that causes shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with balance and coordination. Motor fluctuations mean changes in the ability to move, often due to medication effects wearing off. The study tests different doses of SER-252 to see how safe and tolerable it is.

Participants will be divided into groups and receive either SER-252 or a placebo (a substance with no active medication). The testing is done in a controlled way, with careful monitoring for safety. Some participants will receive a shot of the drug under the skin.

  • Study involves a single dose with close observation for safety checks.
  • Participants might receive compensation for time and travel.
  • Potential risks include side effects from the drug.

To join, you must be 40-80 years old, have specific PD symptoms, and be on stable PD medication. You cannot join if you have other serious health problems or are pregnant. The study requires commitment to attend clinic visits and follow study rules.
