This study is for people with dysphagia (trouble swallowing) and Parkinson's Disease, a condition affecting movement. The research aims to see if listening to rhythmic sounds (like music or beats) can help improve swallowing problems called rolling, where the tongue moves uncontrollably before swallowing. Participants will go through 7 weeks of training sessions at La Musse hospital to test this. They'll attend 3 sessions each week, guided by a speech therapist. Researchers will check if this treatment helps, by looking at swallowing abilities before, after, and 3 months after the sessions.
- Sessions last for 7 weeks, with 3 visits per week needed.
- Participants will have to undergo tests before, after, and 3 months post sessions.
- Participants must be 18 or older and have Parkinson's with a swallowing issue called rolling.
This study could help improve swallowing and quality of life for people with Parkinson's. However, there are specific requirements to join, and it might not be suitable for everyone, like those with severe swallowing issues or hearing loss.
