Phase N/A

This study examines how balance, walking, physical activity, and sleep are related in people with Parkinson's disease (PD). Parkinson's disease is a condition that affects the brain and causes movement problems. The study will compare 17 people with PD to 17 healthy people of the same age to understand if problems are due to PD or just aging. During the study, participants will walk 3 meters while being filmed to check their steps and arm movements. They will also do a 2-Minute Walk Test to see how well they can exercise. A smart band will track their daily steps and sleep patterns, like how much deep and light sleep they get. The study will happen from January to May 2026 at Biruni University. Participants will need to use a smartphone app to sync their data.

  • Study lasts 5 months from January to May 2026.
  • 17 people with PD and 17 healthy individuals will participate.
  • Participants must be able to walk independently.
