Parkinson's disease is a long-term illness that affects the brain and makes it hard for people over 60 to move. This study is about using mixed reality, which is like special glasses that show digital images in real life, to help people with Parkinson's. It compares this new method to regular physical therapy to see which one improves life quality and motivation more.
There are two parts to the study. First, a motivation test will be translated to Greek and tried with 300 healthy people. Then, a second part will have 45 Parkinson's patients using either mixed reality or regular therapy. This study is the first of its kind in Cyprus and hopes to help patients live better by using exciting new technology.
- The study involves two phases and includes 45 Parkinson's patients in the second phase.
- Participants will use mixed reality glasses or traditional physiotherapy.
- Eligibility: Must be over 60, able to walk on their own, and speak Greek.
