Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) is a rare brain disorder that affects movement, balance, and other bodily functions. This study uses a special imaging technique called PET/MR to check for neuroinflammation (swelling in the brain) in people with MSA. The goal is to see if this imaging can help doctors understand how severe the disease is, and predict how it might progress. TSPO is a protein that can show brain inflammation when highlighted in scans.
Key Points:- Participants must be over 35 and diagnosed with MSA.
- Volunteers need to sign a consent form and undergo PET/MR scans.
- People with other brain disorders or who are pregnant cannot join.
This study can help improve diagnosis and treatment plans for MSA but involves medical imaging that some might find uncomfortable. Participants will contribute to valuable research that could help many others in the future.
