Phase N/A

This study is about helping people with Parkinson's disease decide if they want to have a special surgery called Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). DBS is a procedure where doctors put a small device in the brain to help control movement problems.

The researchers want to test a Decision Aid tool that might make it easier for patients to decide about the surgery. They will check if this tool helps people feel more informed and sure about their decision.

Participants will receive the Decision Aid at different times during their evaluation process. They will also complete surveys during 5 visits, which can be done online or in-person, over about 6 months.

  • Study Length: Approximately 6 months with 5 visits.
  • Participation involves filling out surveys.
  • Must have Parkinson's and be considering DBS surgery.

If you have Parkinson's and are thinking about DBS surgery, this study might be helpful. It aims to support informed and confident decision-making.
