Phase N/A

This clinical trial looks at how pelvic physical therapy and electrical stimulation (ES) help people with Parkinson's disease who have bladder problems. Parkinson's is a disease that affects movement and can also cause bladder issues, like needing to urinate urgently or frequently. The study will compare three groups: two receive different types of ES and one receives a fake treatment called a "sham." Each participant will have eight 30-minute therapy sessions over 10 weeks, which include bladder training and exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.

Three key points:

  • Participants will have two visits to a research therapist, lasting about one hour each.
  • Eight therapy sessions at a local clinic over 10 weeks.
  • No expected risks, as this therapy is common for bladder issues.

Adults with Parkinson's and bladder issues can join, but not if they have other serious health problems or recent surgeries. Participants will fill out online surveys from home. The study aims to find out which type of ES works best for bladder issues. No side effects are expected from using the small probe during therapy.
